The Tom Mathis, Sr. Council established the Golden Spike Award to acknowledge the outstanding efforts and accomplishments of our local unit PTAs on behalf of children and education.  This award is given monthly to one local unit who has demonstrated its commitment to the mission and purposes of PTA and its value to children and families.  Click the title to get more information on award recipients and their accomplishments.

Our local units work hard to educate and support the advocacy of our children. The financial support for this accomplishment is through membership of parents, school staff and community. 

Reflections is a cultural arts program of the National PTA. Students submit entries in six art areas (literature, musical composition, photography, visual arts, dance choreography, and film & video) for judging. The 2007-2008 theme is "I Can Make a Difference By..."
